Buckeye Lake 06/25/88
Buckeye was one of the best places to see the Dead in later days. A lovely, open-air setting with plenty of great camping and minimal “security” hassles. This show is another that brings to mind one of the tenets of Deaddom: thou shalt not judge a show by its setlist. This one looks okay on paper but it’s got heart, spirit and vibe to lift it above mere okay status. And an early appearance by Bruce (who opened) on accordion. Plus, another beautiful AUD that puts the SBD to shame.
I’m SO jamming to this with my ocarina.
